This from: Searching for something else, I came across this article. 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS. Of interest to me was this quote. "Unfortunately, the factory air cleaner has been replaced with an after market set up. I was told that a mechanic who was rebuilding the carbs had painted the assembly. After painting he left the assembly out in the sun to dry in back of his shop. It was then swiped by a passing scrap scrounger who assumed it was OK to take." I sometimes think of all my Dino bits and pieces, lost through the passage of time. Tool kit, roof cover, steering wheel, jack bag. All lost through carelessness. there was a time when these items did not have the importance they have today.
