I appreciate the way you guys have let me go on this last year while he was working on this project. He still does not know how well accepted his form of music will be. It is a strange genre. It is electronic but not really ambient, dub-step, bro step, techno or trance but incorporates characteristics of all the above. He is classically trained so it contains some more complex melodies and rhythms interlaced in the overall song. Perhaps one of you guys can help establish just what genre it might be placed in....

So help out a young, struggling artist get started on his next true life adventure....

Wow, not even an opinion. Now that is really something different for a group of guys like you.....So, I am sure everyone of you ran right out and downloaded the album to set him on his way, right? right? uhh, right?

I wanted to download it but I do not even own an IPod or MP3 player. And he does not have it out on cassette or 8 track........ But wait, he just handed me a CD he burned himself. Now I can do something with that.......

It was brought to my attention in Silver Subscribed that I had become actively involved in attempting to get sales for JJ new album. I did not mean to abuse the use of this site and apologize for doing so. I was attempting to inject a little levity into the thread and I guess my idea of this may have been misplaced. Please accept my apology. I do regret having become as involved as I did.....

I just listened to some of the tracks and love it. Has a South Beach Miami feel to it. New Age Jazz mixed with Electronica. Very well done!

JJ says thank you very much. Would like to know, did you pick up the jazz from the synth trumpet solo in Spice Wars??

He did every bit of the work on this album himself. He wrote every piece, produced them, performed them, mixed them, mastered and then recorded them. He even arranged the album art to be done by the artist. The only thing he did not do himself was the the transfer to iTunes. Maybe he should speak to the label about doing some of the work if they want some of the income.......

What is really interesting, knowing that JJ is an accomplished tuba player, I expected Rebirth of the Beat have a more classic feel to it.
I am Dr.Womperstein sounds like it could easily fit in a soundtrack to a movie- like a club scene on a Blade or Swordfish type action movie.
CBBC and Riot Shortage sounds like background music to a cool restaurant or hotel like a W Hotel. We stayed at the W Times Square in New York several weeks ago and brought home the cd that was for sale in our room.
    JJ's is better.

    Cool, thanks.

JJ wanted to include songs that fit several different styles so maybe he accomplished what he was aiming for. He wanted to have something on there that is played at a hotel in Dubai that he tell me about. Something like "The Cool" or something like that......He did not want to be pegged into one particular type of genre.....He is working on a new project of ambient style like the opening song. It is how he used to write and some locals have been asking him to bring some of it back.

Found out he is working on another project also but I am not at liberty to say what it is since he is just in the beginning stages of it. But from what he told me it will be pretty cool....
