I will take delivery in the early fall. My question is to all of you including the dealers that regularly visit here. Since I will pay likely MSRP for this car including about 30K in options what could or should I ask the dealer for to sweeten this deal for me? Free oil changes for life? A Cali dust cover? First major service? A trip to Italy? What's the word?

I received a hat and a key fob. But, the best thing I received was the car. I had and have ZERO complaints. In fact, I'd have happily paid for the hat and key fob if asked.

It was my understanding that every new ordered Ferrari came with a replica model of the car ordered, such that the interior and exterior matched the specs for the car you ordered. In addition, car cover is standard, and any extra things such as key fob, t-shirts, etc all given by the dealer especially since they are making a very good profit for the car ordered from the factory so that these little tid bits are "thrown in".

    Is this right?

No sir not correct. Money for the dealers is made mainly on used Ferrari's. You can order models but there are completely separate companies that do that i thin car cover is a 795$ option correct me if I'm wrong. Key fob sometimes thrown in and clothing sometimes as well.

Honestly I would be happy just with the car you are getting an amazing car the gearbox is pretty much perfect. I would maybe ask for a fob. But you have to remember this is coming out of the sales men's pocket and they are not making near what you think on a new Ferrari.

If you purchase 3 valve stem caps they may throw in a 4th for free but I doubt the pot will get sweetened better than that. :). A trip to Italy? They can verify you own a Ferrari when the time comes and that will help you to get a tour of the factory.

Enjoy the car. It should be a lot of fun.

Yes, the trip and all the other goodies has my tongue firmly in the cheek. While I really don't expect any extras I am, like an earlier poster said, very excited to get this car. And while trip to the factory would be a lot of fun I'll settle for a set of keys attached to one of those fobs! Money to pay MSRP? Who needs money when you can have the Cali... besides, most currencies won't be worth as much soon anyway.

They usually throw in all the air in the passenger cabin for free, as well as the air in the tires. Don't know if the same policy extends to a convertible, so it's best to ask first.

Magnaride, diamond seats, all electric, shields, headlight system, 20" rims, etc. This is my second but the first new. I tend to like the softer lines, i.e. 599, 612 and with the convertible system I was sold (I have 2 other softtops). Don't consider myself a new demo at all, in fact I probably fit into the traditional buyer that likely most of us are. Daily drive is the Audi S6 with 435 Hp in a V10. I expect the Cali to blow the Audi away.

Sounds like a great configuration! The convertible hardtop system is pretty slick- really fast and then you truly have the best of both worlds.
