    It Official!!
I did not see an update on this so here it is from the 17th of this month.
Please let me know if you need information on this.

    Dear Lamborghini Dealer,

Automobili Lamborghini America is pleased to support Eastern Dealers with the coordination of a Ride & Drive in the Pocono region: POCONOS RIDE, on June 18-20, 2008.

The rally will be based at the Skytop Resort and immediately precedes ‘Le Belle Macchine d’Italia’, the largest three-day Italian automotive event in the United States, held on June 20-22.

The Lamborghini presence at ‘Le Belle Macchine d’Italia’ is expanded this year to include two days of driving on spectacular, lush green Pennsylvania country roads, on routes that traverse the Pocono Mountains area.

This will be an opportunity not to be missed to invite your customers to enjoy driving their Lamborghinis in company with their fellow enthusiasts, to celebrate their Lamborghini ownership.

Places will be limited to 30 entrants. Invite your customers right away. Lamborghini owners can enter the event only through their participating Dealer, for USD 4,250 (one car, two participants). Further information and itinerary will follow for your convenience, together with a dedicated electronic invitation per each Dealer use.

We look forward to seeing you and your customers for this new event.

    Regards,

    Pietro Frigerio

    Automobili Lamborghini America

    Rich,

Count me in. I faxed over the registration form today.

I participated in the west coast Giro last fall. That was a great experience and I'm glad I did it. Could it have been better? Yes - I would have liked to spend more time driving cars and less time looking at them lined up on a golf course green. Plus I would have liked to save the cost of the air fare and shipping the car across the country and back. So this east coast event looks like a winner.

For those of us in the upper midwest, I hope we can put together a caravan to the event. Something that would start in (or pass through) Detroit and pick up additional cars along the way across northern Ohio. This would extend the driving portion of the event by another day or two.
