Well boys, it was fun while it lasted. Looks like back to the dark ages for us. Ferrari's performance this year just isn't up to snuff. Last year there were those that complained that Ferrari was winning to much. I was not one of those. I knew that it couldn't last forever, and the day has come that it has finished. I don't think Shumie will sign again after his current contract with Ferrari is up. The only thing I can hope for at this point is at least one win this year from the boys in red. I don't care if it's Michael or Rubens, I just wanna see one of them standing on the top of the podium.

I'm still hoping for a miracle, but it doesn't look good at all. There's a lot of talk about Bridgestone, but Barrichello was quoted in the Gazetto dello Sport as saying the ENTIRE car has problems.

That doesn't surprise me..........2.5 secs has to be more than tires......especially when a Ferrari powered customer car is faster

Thank god split qualifying going away.
Better buy a new car before season is over, so you get the kewl badge.
I think the 2 race motor hurt them more than we think...really not pulling away like they used to. Or else everyone caught up. Likely the latter.

Just because Ferrari isn't winning ever race means Ferrari is back in the dark ages? Frankly, I'm sort of glad Ferrari has been losing because it make the sport actually fun to watch for a change. You have to admit it was getting very boring seeing the exact same thing race after race. I lost interest in F1 because Ferrari was winning everything, now that they aren't F1 is fun to watch. Don't get me wrong I love Ferrari, I'm a member here that says something, but it got real old seeing the same thing over and over again. Just my humble opinion and yes I know that just about nobody is going to agree with me.

Can I make a request? Please don't make the flaming to bad.

    Agree Daniel,

It was far more fun when Ferrari were winning only some of the races ... thus obviously the other cars were good too. With Ferrari winning all the races, it simply meant that the other cars sncked ... and this made Ferrari look bad 'cause the overall standard of competition in F1 had dropped to a new all time low.

Now if Ferrari can pull a win it will be a hard fought win, worth talking about.

2002 and 2004 (more) were the most boring years ever in F1 thanks to only one team turning up with a race car. Not Ferraris fault, but that is reality.

BAR Honda had an extremely good car in 2004. Too bad they sold out one of their race seats to an incompitent driver.

So 2004 was a hard season and cannot be considered a walk!

IMO, these arguements that Ferrari's (past) dominance has made the sport boring are ridiculous. I don't see the difference between Ferrari winning race after race, or any other team. Renault had a dominating start to the season, just like MS last year. How does that make F1 more interesting? Blue instead of red... Now, after Monaco, McLaren is showing some form. Silver instead of blue... F1 is boring because, among other reasons, the natural progression of technology has made it a parade, no matter which team wins.

I still prefer a red car crossing the line first. Forza Ferrari!

Agree ... but luckily Renault has not won every race this year, and also even when Renault were winning different drivers won races.

Ferrari only allows MS to win races ... especially in the early years. I do not like watching staged races! ... it is insulting to my intelligence and I will forever be pissed at the BS they pulled with RB in 2002.

Returning to Ferrari winning race after race ... it was more than that it was YEAR after YEAR. Come on variety is good for everything ;) ... and when Ferrari does get beaten it means that their opposition ARE actually still good ... this actually makes Ferrari look good, when they beat them again :)

Remember sport without competition is NOT sport ... and fncken boring.

Oh come on, Schumie returned the favor by giving Rubens a win during the same season, but you aren't crying about that.

F1 is a team sport and it is important to never forget the team aspects in F1.

Scuderia Ferrari are the greatest F1 team ever created. Therefore, I am confident that this season is far from over.

The championship was all over by then ... thus MS was quite happy to deny his team mate even the slightest chance at beating him, but when it was impossible, yeah here's some scraps RB mate.

Some win with honour ... some just walk all over everybody ... and I do admit that RB is a door mat. I would have told the team to fnck off! and only conceded a win if and only if it was impossible for myself to win the WC.

Once should always look after oneself FIRST in sport, then your team.

That day and the Aussie GP where Hak and DC played stupid games and DC let Hak win were dark days for the sport.

Quite saddening to see Ferrari's current state in F1, but I don't think its over quite yet. Schumi keeps pumping out lightening fast laps, once again proving that Scuderia Ferrari is not dead. Its just too bad he cant do that in qualifying!!!!

Yes ... there obviously is pace in the package somewhere. We ofcourse know that MS is bloody fast and also one of the better passers (if not the best) so ... I'm hoping for a win or 2 this year.

But it isn't gonna happen this year, if it does happen. Ferrari is trying to extend Michaels contract for another year past after the current contract expires. So if he does get that 7th championship it will be next year or the year after. Depending on if Ferrari can get out of this slump. I really hope they do.

The chassis and aero are good...and the Bridgestones are very good once up to heat, but they can't get up to heat quickly enough for the one lap qualifying format. That is why MS is setting fastest race laps and always making up huge ground. If F1 was to revert to an open qualifying session you'd see Ferrari on the podium.

Very plausible. But IF's are everywhere and that is not going to happen (atleast this year) ... regarding reverting to a REAL qualifying format.

An F1 team lives or dies by its best driver, that's why the Driver's championship is more sought after than the Constructor's. RB is a great #2, but MS is the go-to guy. Does Ferrari put its effort into the driver that has the best chance of winning? Yes. Does this mean that they always LET him win? I don't think so, he's just the better driver. Look at Raikonnen; everyone knew he had potential (he's Ferrari's #1 pick after MS retires), the car just wasn't up to snuff. Now it is, and JPM finds himself a #2 driver.

I think Renault is due for some DNFs. BMW's fortunes are changing. BAR is back this week; hopefully this will mix things up a bit. Bottom line, poor position in the standings means Ferrari are always going to qualify on a green track, which isn't going to help their predicament.

Hard season for who? BAR was a fluke that year, Mclaren had thier head's up thier asses and Williams was nowhere. Who was there to race?
