Hi experts, am looking to buy a second hand 458 Italia and I have sent the car for a full ital 190 points inspection and extracts of the reports are as attached. Please can you kindly advise if any major or deal breaker concerns and how much you reckon will costs to have all these rectified please? And which ones you think are most concerning to be addressed asap? Thank you

Did NOT see results of a compression test or leak down test for each cylinder. I would want to know. No mention of the condition for some of the rubber components within the suspension or exhaust hangers, these components just wear out with time like all vehicles.

The launch control probably works fine the inspector just didn’t know how to use it correctly.

Overall, pretty good just a little fender bender at the rear and usual wear and tear. These are solid cars with good engines.

Plan for $10k of stuff to make it whole or just drive it and enjoy.

Be sure you have a Ferrari mechanic near you lined up as your go to guy. Much easier to own one of these cars if you have a good mechanic.

Good luck with your purchase and enjoy.

Without knowing the price, mileage or details, I would pass on this one unless this is the one that fits your budget? Myself, I prefer not to fix other people's problems and I suspect there are more hidden ones and go out and find the BEST ONE that I can. One thing I noticed on your sheets is that the tool kit, and battery conditioner are not there. Thats bad, it is incomplete and shows signs of just incompetence and I also wonder how many previous owners this car had? Last thing, couldn't the other owner afford to put new wiper blades on it? Again poor presentation and NO THANKS!

Oil pressure low or bad sensor ? If oil pressure is truly low - look for another car

"fading TFT display", if you had to replace a TFT that's probably a not insignificant sum of money. Same thing though likely cheaper for the steering wheel switch/motor. From what sheets I could read (several were loaded sideways), this presents like a car that has mostly normal wear with some things that were neglected due to expense. Overall 458s are very reliable however there are small issues that need addressing over time. It seems to me that whoever had this one before just let all the little things go because they "could live with it."

    Thanks sir for your advice.

Just to update. I am close to getting done on a 458 spider which looks lovely and then at yesterday another 488 coupe owner approached to sell. Both almost same price and make me wonder again. But I think my heart is telling me to to just go with the 458 spider.

    What about the F8?

Definitely agree though, drive both if you haven't already. They're both brilliant, so get the one that speaks to you more.

Personally, I think I'd pick the 458. But others would make a different choice for good reasons.

To add more details, this is a 2014, 458 spider with 16.5k km and essentially 1 owner.
