It’s not a Ferrari, I know. However, I thought some might like to see the "only" Packard to ever enjoy being bodied in Italy. This is a one-of-a-kind Packard. It is a 1948 although it was started before the war (WWII for those who didn't know ). I found it at Quail this year and it belongs to Ralph Marano in New Jersey.

As always, I took artistic license with the setting.

Thanks Tarek. Maybe Packard should have joined with Vignale rather than Studebaker!

There's even a sail boat in that picture.....didn't see her at first glance.

Interesting. I'll have to share this with the owner. I don't know the color combo, but it's clear that the interior is different. I like what he's done with it. Thanks for sharing this.

I don't know what this means, but if you look under "Packard" in John de Boer's Italian Car Registry (1994), there is a single entry for:
Chassis #309582, Type One-Twenty, built 1939, possibly as chassis only, bodied as Cabriolet by Vignale, from used car lot in Los Angeles, Montigel, owner Mark Smith/Norman Wolgin.

I would assume that the current owner of the car knows more than anyone about its history.
