Italian Car Show Staten Island

Great pics - thanks for posting.

 

The show was good. It is too bad that some _ _ _ hole decided to throw a couple of boxes of nails on about 500 feet of the road! His idea of fun?

 

Really? People are sick.

 

Yes, I ended up picking up three handful of nails myself. There were two other guys helping to clean up. There was only one road in and out of the place so it was the perfect spot for an ****** move like this.

My son, my wife and I were picking them up.

 

There was more on the road? I was with the guys that drove in the Audi RS4 and the R8-V10. The spotted them and parked immediately. There was a ton of nails around the white Escalade as well. I thought we were able to get them all.

I hope that between our two groups we got everything.

EDIT: Hey, JoeA2, I just realized you're the R8-V10 owner! I was the guy with the camera equipment.

I'm using a Nikon D200 and two lenses, 80-200mm f/2.8D and the 18-70mm kit lens.

The GTO and Enzo shot was pure luck. I was standing at the right spot when they came pulling up. Too bad I couldn't fit the 16M in there as well!

 

Were there any Iso Grifos at the show by chance?

 

That would be a serious charge if someone could determine who did that with the nails and I'd love to see them fry. If the unthinkable happened it would be manslaughter I'd think/hope. What a loser that person is!

Anyway, looks like it was a very nice show- when was the drawing for the 355? That would look nice next to my 360 Unfortunately I couldn't make the show...

I'm not surprised about the nails.
What I mean is, I lived on SI for years and ther are a TON of J***-offs.
Self-righteous and Entitled, their everywhere.

 

I hope they "nail" the culpret who planted the nails.

Jealousy is a curse - so they say.

lets start a poll ... what would you do if you caught the punk ass throwing the nails red handed !


I would get out and chase him down and shove as many nails as possible down his throat and hold his mouth closed as hard and long as possible still letting him breath through nose ... for a bout 20 min staright then Id let him go i doubt hed ever do it gain lmao ....

what were they roofing nails ?? where excatly were they thrown and around wht time ??

 

Two days after I returned from the show I had two flat rear tires on the Enzo...a nail was found in each tire. The tires had less than 500 miles on them. This makes me mad ...however I am lucky the tires did not go flat until the Enzo was home in my garage.

 

that's horrible. hopefully it doesnt sway you from sharing your cars though. there are a lot of us that really enjoy it. although i wouldn't blame you. always a few that wreck it for the bunch.

 

Thin nails about 1 inch long with a small diameter head. I'm not familiar with the type of nails. JoeA2 and I were picking them up around 1:30 PM (I had a gap in my photos around that time). Not sure when the were thrown down unfortunately. It was out past the last diagonal parking spot where the road begins to narrow.

I'm pretty sure we got most of them, but by then almost all of the cars had arrived at the show.

Really sucks to hear about the tires Tax Dr.!

 

Have any of you guys thought of reporting this incident/matter to the Police.

It reeks of criminality in my book.

 

I Pulled in around 12:30... Just checked my tires and pressure all looks fine but damm man ! sorry to hear that about your enzo ..

 

I was serious when I said if the unthinkable happened this would be manslaughter.

I guess it couldn't hurt for someone locally to inform the police just to get it on record...
