Come to Alameda this Sunday, show starts around 10am. You can even bring your own Ferrari at the last minute and be on the grass. No entry fee. Very low key event with a very nice turnouts of Alfas, Maseratis. Fiats, Ferraris, and the Ducati crowd. Any t-shirt, donation, or lunch proceeds go to Alameda Special Olympics. I will be there with my car for most of the day. Look for a silver GTE and say hi.

I'll be on the grass in S.F., don't know how many others will be there. Last year there was an excellent turnout.

    Thead hijack alert....!
I guess I will go to the Columbus day event one day. I have gone to maybe 12 Alameda shows in the row, and it makes for a fun picnick...Blue Angels usually buzz the field, too.

FWIW...The Blue Angels bailed this year and were replaced by the Canadian Snowbirds, flying Canadair CT-114 Tutors, the Canadian-built jet formerly used by the Canadian Forces as its basic pilot training aircraft.

    Hi Matt -

It runs 9 - 4:30, the group usually gets a sidewalk restaurant to watch the parade from, and eat lunch. See you there!

Yes, there's a "Ferraris on the Grass" show at Washington Park where many FCA types will be showing their F-cars.

I went by there this morning about 11:00 and didn't see anything but a big tent. Was the Ferrari on the grass cancelled?

Hey, Dan and I went to the backside of SFO to break in my new tyres, and we counted 11 of these jets parked across from the Coast Guard area, right next to the TAG aviation services building. The pilots were clustered around getting a briefing.

We were wondering what it was all about! They're cool little trainer jets with smoke pods slung beneath them, but nowhere near as cool as the Blue Angels.

It's an FCA event,Ferrari's will be parked on the lawn and will be protected by a barrier to keep the public from getting too close to the cars.Usually a good crowd that respect and admire the cars,so it's pretty safe.Hope to see you and the Stockton group there.Lots of great restaurants for lunch!

Happens to the best of us. I dragged 4 friends to Laguna Seca for some exciting motorcycle racing. Thought we'd get there two hours early and get a nice vantage point. Turned out we were a week and two hours early!

Also will reluctantly admit to ...um, no, I won't. Never screwed up *that* badly!
