Check out: http://www.carguytour.com/ Anybody interested in going? Rick is looking for a travel companion.
Funny... I was checking out that site last month. I may do it next year with my brother. He has been on an eternal quest to find a Masarati Boomerang. Turns out, its in one of the museums on the tour! Looks like a great time.... would HAVE to schedule a Ferrari tour as well!
They're a little sketchy on the Ferrari part and I think the reason is that Ferrari only lets owners into the factory. But you could add that yourself at the end of the trip. What amazes me each time I see a map of the region is this utter concentration of high octane Italian sports cars. Must be something in the water.
Somewhere on their website they suggest doing the Ferrari tour just before or after the Car Guy Tour, and suggest that you set that up. Looks like fun!
This is Frank Mandarano's tour (business). He and his wife, Janet, were the previous owners of Concorso Italiano and The Maserati Information Exchange (MIE) I've always wanted to speak with someone who has taken this tour.
Any fchat folks attending the Ferrari factory tours in late April ?? See www.owners.ferrari.com for more info. Event details also at http://www.owners.ferrari.com/esImages/Ferrari/20050208/20_21aprile_e.pdf While we're out there, I'll try to squeeze in a return visit to the folks from Lamborghini and Pagani as well.
Met a nice Peoria-area couple on the Maranello factory tour last week. Nice folks. If you're on fchat, please send me an email at mcantoria "at" gmail "dot" com The tour from owners.ferrari.com was pretty good. I'm told its more detailed and covers more area than the regular "dealer arranged" visits. Thanks -- Manuel
