    Just saw something about it in the paper. I wonder if they could use some Ferraris to put on display.

    I see nothing about any car activities -- but maybe something can be arranged. Festival is slated to take place in the courthouse plaza.

    Anyone going? Looks like there are lot of options this weekend (if the rain stays away).

    Think there will be an area designated for a display of Italian cars.

    Italian festival set for Towson this weekend

    Nonprofit Columbus Celebrations will hold a two-day, family-oriented Baltimore County Italian Festival in Towson Sept. 23 and 24.

    The festival, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Courthouse Plaza area, will feature a large selection of food representing the different regions of Italy, as well as crafts, pasta-eating and grape-stomping contests, cooking demonstrations and nonstop Italian music.

    The event, during which guests can be photographed in front of an authentic Italian gondola, also will feature a Frank Sinatra impersonator contest, a bocce ball tournament, Ray Massa's Eurorhythms, and a children's area. In addition, on Saturday at 6 p.m., an Italian opera and other entertainment will be offered, and at 7:30 p.m. the movie "Moonstruck" will be shown.

    I'm thinking of taking the Ducati over there. Haven't had it out in too long.

    I tried the phone number, but got no answer. I'm sure if we show up and drive around, we'll find a place to display our wares. Question is, which day? Or both?

    I'd meet up near BMW of Towson on Kennilworth Ave. Maybe in the parking lot of Kennilworth Mall ... around the back by Jos. A. Banks clothiers. Plenty of parking spots in that rear corner. Then a 1 mile drive over to the courthouse square.

    Of course, I don't know what streets might be blocked off or where parking would be available.

    This entire thing could be a big waste of time .... and if it is -- we can all go back and test drive BMWs for the rest of the afternoon.

    ...and since it's late on Friday night already, I doubt anything will be set-up in time for Saturday afternoon anyway.

    I remember reading somewhere that there will be a pavillion set up to house some italian motorcycles/cars for display near the gondola.
    I haven't had time to confirm this.


    On another note:

    Would we want to participate in the Columbus Day Parade?
    Maybe we could put Miss Little Italy in Darron's car?
