Good evening/Good morning everyone. hopefully it'll be a great showdown at the 1st corner. Felipe needs to get ahead of Hammi.
Good morning Brian! I'm still awake from Saturday and just thought I'd check in I dunno if I'm going to watch the race live or not.
Morning Kyle ( evening 630 pm here actually ) well, Massa needs to get past Hammi in the 1st corner, or else, he will block Massa and Fred will run away with the race. i hope Massa will be aggressive.
i just got this, looks like we can count Kimster out Following his high speed crash during Saturday practice at Monza, Kimi Raikkonen awoke on Sunday morning for the Italian grand prix with a very sore and stiff neck. The Finn had a check-up in the circuit medical centre here directly after the incident, where FIA medical boss Dr Gary Hartstein cleared him to qualify. "He is okay," Hartstein said in the paddock on Saturday. Raikkonen, 28, was just fifth quickest, and apparently confided to some friends in the Finnish press that he was suffering with some neck pain throughout the qualifying session. Spanish newspaper As says the Ferrari driver's pain increased throughout the evening, and he arrived at the circuit on Sunday barely able to move his head from side to side. It is not believed that the muscle soreness will cause him to sit out the race, but Raikkonen told the Swiss newspaper Blick: "My neck does hurt quite a lot and it is completely stiff. I can hardly move. "But it's nothing really bad or anything and I look forward to the race."
It seems now Luca's not ruling out the fact that Fred might join the team in the future : Ferrari's President at Monza refused to completely rule out Fernando Alonso joining the famous team at some point in the future. Given his apparent unhappiness at McLaren, and the seriousness of the espionage affair, it is reported widely that the Spaniard might be on the lookout for a new home in the pit lane. Alonso and Ferrari's relationship until now, however, has not been the best in the paddock, but Luca di Montezemolo would not rule out a collaboration in the future. "He is a great champion and life is very long," the Italian is quoted as saying by the Spanish newspaper Marca. "I am however very, very satisfied with our current drivers, especially as this season was a delicate one for us because we lost Michael," Montezemolo added. "We have won six of the twelve races and sometimes we have not taken advantage of some other opportunities because of things such as reliability problems. So we are very happy with the drivers. "Alonso is not at the moment a topic for us although he is a great driver," he said.
It's 5:30 in the am here sounds like I missed Kimi's qualifying shunt. I've been a bit behind with F1 this weekend dealing with the first week of school stuff.
oh.. but at least, we knew that Hammi can be jumped from the start ( Turkey and France ). so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. also, i think the Ferraris are much more fuelled up compared to the Mac.
I just youtubed Kimi's wreck looks pretty bad. I'll record the race and catch it tomorrow. You guys have a good one.
Morning everybody. Just got my coffee made, and the race show is just starting. Definitely disappointed to see Kim's accident. Also disappointed with Massa in 3rd. I'm hoping Ferrari can make some magic!
Morning everyone. 8:50 am here on the island. Don't think the neighbours like the airhorn on Sundays, but I'm only worried I won't be using it much. Wurz on a bike!!.....love that guy!!! Cmon Massa, Cmon Party Animal.....!!
Good morning guys - I hope Felipe has a great start, because if he doesn't it's all over for Ferrari unless Fred and Lewis take each other out. However, this could be a race won from the pits and not on the track. I've given up on Kimi being the "shining star" for Ferrari (actually I never thought he'd fill that role). Carol The monkey team shown on the pre-race show is very fitting for Kimi. I like the interview with Fred - his best race of 2005 was Imola - we were there and it was one helluva race with he and Michael - the good not-so-old days. OT - Glad to see Dario got pole from by .040 for his final IRL race - go Dario.
It's the same way for me. I wonder if they will do an interview like this with someone other than Alonshole.
and it's started! no incidents so far... I thought it was pretty clean through the first few corners. David Coulthard into the wall! he's just getting out, seems to be ok. Safety car is now out.
Good morning everyone. Decent start by Massa, it's too bad he coudn't hold P2 but Hamilton did jump the chicane on turn 1. Anyway, I still am hopeful for Ferrari. Mark
biggie for DC - wonder if contact earlier with Vettel?? SC out - Hamilton right to driver's left at start - no Vettel into back of Ralf - Hamilton missed apex - pushed over and slight contact with rt rear to Felipe
