Years ago I asked hotel concierge if I was going to eat at one place in Bologna that would define the city and was not puffed up for tourists. This is where he recommended. Was a great meal we still still talk about. Don't remember the name of who served us, but he wouldn't let us leave at the end until we did limoncello shots with him. Kept this card handy for years for a return trip some day.

    Ahah, that’s great story!
The limoncello pusher had to be my friend Gianni, the glassed (and oversize) guy who usually takes the orders at the tables. His business partner Roberto is usually in the kitchen or at the bar.

Note: for any prospect eater, the place is always fully booked. Male your reservation at least one day in advance. Two days ago, Monday, two friends came from Modena with no reservation and by getting there at noon were just able to get one last empty table. After them, as usual I saw scores of visitors that had to go elsewhere.

I have Been on two Ferrari factory tours, one with a group, second just the wife and I. I don't know how that happened. Stayed at the Planet Hotel. I really liked Maranello!
