Hello local FerraiChat members. ItalianCarFest is a go for this year. The date is always the Saturday after Labor Day, so this year it will be on September 10th. It is still at Nash Farm in Grapevine and registration will open in early July. I will post a link when it goes live.

Your Ferrari's are always the stars of the show, and we have been blessed with some members who have been to every one - rain or shine. Below are some photos of rare and unusual Ferrari's and Dinos we have seen at the various event venues over the years. Enjoy. So hold that date open and more to come.

    Much thanks,

    Jeff Briggs
    ICCNT President

Just a reminder. The show is in about 3 weeks. The cooler weather has been teasing us and it looks like it will be here before you know it. Registration closes a few days after Labor Day so please don't put off registration too long.

    Thanks Ferrari owners!

The weather is definitely cooling off and the show field will be turning green again after the much needed rains. Please sign up if you can. As of a few days ago, we only had 8 Ferraris registered. Link to sign up is above and I believe registration closes on September 7th. Contact me if you miss the registration dead line and I will see what we can do to get you in.

Thanks everyone and hope to see you there.

We found a very good article on ICF from TXGarage from David Boldt. Here is a link to his story.

Grapevine’s Italian CarFest: THE ITALIAN JOB | txGarage

Our Ferrari supporters deserve some of this credit so thank you for all you have done over the last 3+ decades since the earlier version of the show started at Willow Bend Polo Field. I personally do not remember that show as I only started participating at the fabled Southfork Ranch shows.

    Kind regards,

    Jeff Briggs

I remember that Willow Bend show.
There was this guy with a new Mucielago that when leaving two super models jumped into the passenger seat as well . Two.
    Don’t know who he is/was.
But still hate him to this day .

It was best out at the lake, and really nice when it was actually part of Grapefest.

While I love ICF as a spectator, staying out all day as part of the display is probably in my past. I think the show lost something when the Italian visitor parking was eliminated.

Just feedback. I hope y'all have a great show.

I understand the challenges of staying all day and thank you for your past support. Also, thanks for the feedback as all comments good and bad are welcomed. That is how things are improved. The lake was great but the sand and a few other things such as lack of shade and finding it were challenges. Also the show got too big for the Cross Timbers winery to accommodate us. Looking back at those photos, we really were quite squeezed in. I will reach out to the city and see if we can reopen the Italian visitor parking and report back.

The NOAA weather forecast for Saturday is a low of 71 and a high of 90 with sunshine. It should be as close to ideal as possible. Registration closes today so please sign up if you have not. Again, thank you to the Ferrari community for your support of the show.

Registration is in the 70s so it is low compared to prior years. I think the summer heat was a factor, plus competing events such as a race weekend for the vintage racers and the Mecum auction. I also had a few owners with health issues that could not make it out. Reach out to me if you missed the deadline and I will try and get you in. The weather should be good for early September.

Also, we did not have any race cars enter the show. If anyone can bring a race car, you are guaranteed a class win and trophy.

Thanks everyone and see you there.

    Jeff

Thank you to all who both presented their cars and those who dropped by to see the selection this year. Despite the heat from these past few months, we had a great turnout and very pleasant weather. The quality of the cars is always a treat and we had a lot of spectators. My parting statement is a question I asked when going around to greet everyone - is this a car show or an art show, or both?

    Cheers everyone,

    Jeff
