With a group of Ferrari-drivers we will go to Italy this summer, partly by train, partly by car. We will arrive by train in Verona, and will then continue our travel to Imola by car.

    - What advice could you give about the travel from Verona to Imola ? Do you know some nice roads (or parts/pieces of...) to travel, instead of the highway ?
    - What nice roads can be driven in the area of Imola ?
    - Do you know some places we absolutely should visit; of course apart from Ferrari and Lamborghini.
    - Do you know some good places to eat ?

We will be there from Friday until Monday...

    Roger,
the only nice roads I know are the Passo de la Futa thats the N-65 from Bologna to Firenze.
And the roads around Maranello the S-3 via the village of Serramazzoni. Rob

    Hi Guys,
I visited that area a while back.
We stayed at a place called "Castello" (safe courtyard parking)
    Near Modena.Google
Close by there is a restaurant called "La Busa" Great food and they have racing memorabelia on the walls and a Maserati engine in the middle of the dining area.
We made our way to Venice by the secondary road Ferrara , Rovigo . There is a section by the river Adige you go past many Mansions from the 1700's
    very picturesque.

    Safe travels

    Robert

Some great places to eat in Maranello; Ristorante Montana, Il Cavallino, and Ristorante William. All three are filled with Ferrari memorabilia and are frequented by various Ferrari personalities. Montana and Cavallino have websites, not sure about William. Not a bad idea to reserve ahead of time. Also, for a great place to stay in Maranello, try Planet Hotel right across from the factory.

    Buon viaggio e buon appetito!
