I wanted to reach out to the people on the board. I will be in Italy from March 1-14, I will be in Maranello and Modena 7-12, and staying at the planet the 7th and 8th. I wanted to know if you guys had any good recomendations for Hotels in Modena. I will need a hotel for 9-11. Mr. Rapp has already told me that I must eat at the Fini restaurant (no affiliation with the hotel).
Please let me know any suggestions you have.

Modena is a nice place to walk around and enjoy. Since you have a few days, see Modena by foot, then drive and see some of the nearby areas and the wonderful regions and towns - Parma, Bologna, Verona. Even Milan (and Monza) is not too far.

I'm looking around and I think for what I want canalgrandehotel is the best. How accessible is that with a car. I feel like I'm going to have to park a good way out. I only need the car for getting out to Pagani while I'm there.

You should get a small car instead.

Plenty of parking on the street, I think. It seemed to be one of the few streets that had angled parking in front of the hotel. Our taxi from the train station pulled right up to the front and parked. You could email them and ask. When I emailed them, the reply was in pretty good English.

    Hmmmm. Me too!
Trouble is, when you're not working (or studying), you're not productive!
Tough dilemma. There'll be plenty of time to relax in 20 years or so!

I enjoyed taking the trains myself. In Rome, we stayed at the Hotel Romae. A few blocks from Trimini. Only a 3 star, family run, very friendly. At least they were in 1997.

Ahh but with my position at FCI this experience will further enhance my abilities to option the cars and be able to speak to customers about how they are built as I will have been there.

I cannot remember which rooms face the factory, but, you'll definitely want to arrange one of these rooms for your stay...absolutely fantastic!...it was a constant parade of Ferrari's up and down the main street when I was there.

Good comeback. You are indeed rather knowledgeable about the process. Watch out for those Italian women. They are hot blooded! I don't think you could handle one!
