So this friend of my son gives him a wireless keyboard for his Macbook Pro. J.J. likes the idea of the wireless keyboard but not having a wireless mouse still had to use the pad on the computer. Consequently the wireless keyboard did him no good.

When he bought the Macbook he got an ITouch IPod as part of the promotion. He went on line with Mac and found out there is a free ap for the ITouch to turn it into a wireless mouse. So now he has a wireless mouse. The free ap also allows you to use it as a wireless keyboard also. I assume the IPhone has the same application. Neat feature......

    +1

I haven't checked it out yet, but will do RSN - Thanks for posting.

Also seems like it could be a "winner" on the iPad.....

    Cheers,
    Ian

Alright I've been playing with it some more and I found it has a mode to use the accelerometer, very cool works a lot like the Wiimote, though I highly doubt I could use it in place of a conventional mouse.

Might want to look into Plex as well.

and if you will be streaming the audio (when playing back video) you might want to look at Airfoil to sync.

also when you choose not to use the mouse, do you need to deactivate the mode/ap?

Activating the "air mouse" portion is accomplished by clicking that particular "mode" when in the app (on the iphone/itouch)

Turning it off is done by exiting the app (iPhone/iTouch cannot multi task). I choose to keep the sever (on the mac) in listen mode.
