    Our modern BMWs will clobber a battery in just 3 weeks. Out of all the cars in my oddball collection going back ~40 years, my 2020 M2 is the car that most needs to be on a maintainer. My 328 doesn't really need it at all, I just hook up when I know work/travel/weather might keep me from driving in the near future.
