    My wife just had our first baby on saturday night. He was born at 37 weeks. Didn't quite make it to 40 but he is fully developed so that's all that matters. He was born at 9:23pm and we went home about 11:30pm.
    Betty had mild contractions from about 7:45 am until about 3:30. She went into pretty active labor then. So about 6 hours of active labor. I was helping Betty when she gave birth. Of course she did the hard part. She only tried to bite me once. LOL. All in all it was really amazing. I got to wipe his face off as he came out. As soon as he was all the way out he cried for about 60 seconds or so. I may have cried but i'm not admitting that. Just thought I would give the update. It truly is the most amazing thing that can happen to you. Now I understand why people blather on and on about it. It's just amazing how you can love someone so much the moment you set eyes on them.
