It's amazing what you find when you're doing something routine. Today I finally decided to replace the fuel filter (and the corroded hard fuel lines in the area) on my 328. We (meaning Bartmondial, who was helping) noticed that the airbox vent line had popped off and was dragging on the belt.

I also noticed my driver's side rear sway bar bushing (including the metal cover) was cracked/broken. I'll need to find one of those!!!

Replacing the fuel filter and the two fuel lines (filter/accum/pump) should have only taken 30 minutes, but of course they were seized on there, which took some serious work to get off. It's always the easy jobs that wind up taking 4 hours!!! ;)

Fuel filter was REALLY clogged up. It was running pretty darn good, but now it runs even better.

At my bike shop (Cycle Werks) we have a complex formula known as Werks' Law that we always apply when budgeting time to execute a wrenching function. Regardless of how easy it *should* be there always seems to be something as you experienced that increases the time almost exponentially :/

Nice work Sam! This last week I changed out the fuel filter/pump/accumulator and the remaining "lower" fuel lines on the 328. Took me longer than I thought but with the new lift in the garage it most certainly was quicker than without it. Thanks again for letting me drive your 328 last fall, you got me hooked.
