    Funny, I even bid on it as a potential track car... top bid was $32K. Story is the seller wants at least $39.5k so he refused to go through with the auction... Spoke to him, says it is worth at least that much because he bought it for $35K and put $5K into it... Maybe if he puts another $10K then it would be closer to $40K - man even looks rough in the pics, imagine in person. Maybe a noob will get suckered into buying it!

    Those shields are hiding something - maybe Maserati portholes?

    This car looks like the one offered in Salt Lake City - yellow Challenge car - that was offered for $39K and would go for $38K. It was a dog, but an interesting project at some price, like this car. I'd sure like those wheels though...

    WOW! I bid on that same auction! My max bid was $32,000... and as you can see the owner put in a SHILL BID for a penny more, as he threatened in an email to me. I reported him to eBay & they said they wouldn't do anything. What a sham!

    Glad I didn't win it after all, though, because I stumbled upon my 348 Spyder which is MINT and I love it.

    In the photos, it doesn't look like the deck lid paint matches the right rear fender paint. Really looks like a mess.

    What are you talking about? You must have the wrong car/ auction. I placed the bid for $32K at the last second using an Auction Sniper - check the bid history, and Ebay's proxy bid automatically outbid me - No shill bidding. Furthermore, I exchanged emails with the high bidder and he told the seller wouldn't go though because he wanted $39.5K. Spoke directly to the seller today and he confirmed that he had "messed up" setting up the auction and it was worth at least $40K so was relisting with BIN.

    I bid b/c I wanted track car since my 348ts and spider are pretty clean cars. He has better luck parting the out the car to get $40K than an outright sale. Although if he still wants to sell it for low 30s I have cash waiting - my wife would probably start questioning my sanity but... I really like those little 348s neat cars! BTW, please post pics of your new buy - always looking to introduce my car to sibblings - what year and color combo?
