Poor DC. He must be running around the pits attempting to really kiss some a$$.

I've never liked the guy, but I am starting to feel sorry for him. His luck and his string of Barbie doll girlfriends is about to end.

Just like with JV...................Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out Mr. THIS IS THE YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Regards,

Jon P. Kofod (who still doesn't like DC)

i always kinda liked him as he has the best excuses in the paddock.

but BAR's test drivers might be better, but no way to find out w/o risking them in races -- maybe sit JB down for one or 2 since he's mentally left.

Just remember come January of 05 DC will be uttering the often heard phrase......

".....I am in the best shape of my life......this is the year to fight for the Championship"

God help us if he signs for Minardi and utters this claim again. There will be so much laughter in the paddock no one will be able to get any work done.

I give David Coulthard credit for trying to land a race seat next season. Instead of just accepting his fate he is going out there and showing Team Principals why they should hire him and what benefits there are to hire him. DC would be a perfect fit for BAR, Jaguar or Sauber.

I always thought that DC was a good racer but a so-so qualifier. I think he deserves to stay on in F1. He migth be a good for Toyota. I think a change of team will hopefully weed off the cobwebs.

Unfortunately for him, his annual predictions have always made him the butt of all jokes. I think he is now more cagey on that front now ... cautious even...

I viewed that a racing incident . Maybe David lifted off where he shouldn't have but I think it was a mistake and not by malice...

And keep in mind I am saying this as a big fan of Schumi ...

Michael has been known to do some questionable moves in the past also.

When Ralph announced he was going to Toyota I predicted it would set back Toyota at least 5 years and that we could be happy that they would pose no threat to Ferrari. Add in DC and it's a 10 year set back.

    Cheers,

    Jon

    Ralf not Ralph.

And set Toyota 10 years back? Won't much difference anyway!

I think toyota gets over its policy of changing personnel every year and stabilizes the team it would improve... it better improve!

Yes but Speedy did he have to take so long to lift in the first place? Yes i have viewed all of Michaels "questionable moves" but I have more than forgiven him!

I would be more suspicious if it was a pattern and not a one-off incident. Are there any other DC incidents that you can think of as "questionable move".

Point taken man,but will never be able to judge it as purely a racing incident.

BAR need somebody to lead the team ... not a permanent number 2. I think DC will end up at Jaguar as they need a Pom to keep their parties happening ... racing appears to come about 4th to Jaguar :D

Personally if I was RB that is where I would go ... as long as I got 100% number 1 treatment. Exactly what this guy needs to create a F1 career, and shut up people like me ;)

DC really hurt his chances today of getting a seat next year. Finishing 9th in a McLaren, behind a Sauber, will not do him any good.

    I agree.
RB should try getting that BAR seat so that JV could get the Ferrari seat. ;)
I'm still convince that JV will one day drive for Ferrari like his father did.
If Enzo Ferrari was still alive, JV would be driving for Ferrari right now.

    Great pic Maranelloman...

DC seems like a great guy, represents his country well and doesn't seem like a head case and decent team player. However, second chances should not be measured in decades. This guy has been at Williams and McLaren while they were top teams and always played second fiddle? He has been out paced by every teammate he has had? Its a shame one of the nice guys finds himself scrounging for a seat, but he had is opportunities. I would rather watch his string of girlfriends next year than to hear a "this is the year," promise and for him to get blown away by a 20 year old who's superlicense is in doubt, ( as was the case with Kimi. ) Lets hope he goes to Toyota, gets a pole or win on a misnomer race, and then retires after claiming how he advanced the direction of the team. No more, this is my time claims for what is just a good guy in the sport.

Never considered DC world championship material, having been with two of the top teams for many years and only getting a handfull of wins in over 150 races. I can see him driving for Jaguar next year, that is if they are still around, as Ford seems to be loosing interest in continuning to spend money in Jaguar/F1.

Well I think it has gone to his head. He recently told Jaguar that he expect them to foot the bill for any flights pertaining to Jaguar (testing, PR, race etc.) on his $35 million Learjet.

He also wants them to foot the bill on his extravagent motorhome which is rivaled only by his team's motorhome (McLaren).

As some one stated, next year will be the year......................

...........the year we no longer hear DC's Championship predictions.
