Aspen is supposed to be cold.......Dallas is in Texas. Average February high temp in D/FW Metro area is 57.....BTW, Tuesday night in D/FW it was in the single digits with chills as much as -11. And there are not even any hills to ski on............Just lots of snow bunnies in Dallas trying to impress.........

Tuesday the second blizzard warning ever was issued for the area, some places broke records for snowfall that have stood for 100 years. We had 12 inches of a mix of sleet and snow. My parents 30 miles north had about 20 inches of mostly snow.

Thursday morning in Springfield, MO the coldest I saw on the car thermometer was -12F in a low area of the Interstate. 20 mph wind gusts. It has been 20+ years since it was that cold here.

Friday (yesterday) there was supposed to be a few flurries, maybe 1" of snow. Woke up to another 3-4" this morning. Forecast is for more snow Sunday night.

Another bigger storm will hit with significant snowfall Tuesday-Wednesday with more below zero lows for the week. City snow removal is already overwhelmed. Two weeks ago we got a 2011 ML320 Bluetec. Thrusday it was pulled out of a ditch with all of 450 miles on it.

Seriously, it isn't supposed to get this cold or snow this much here. We are 30 degrees below normal.
