Nicely done! Don't touch it; no tinting, no stripes, it is perfect!
Calling 911 as we speak to have him picked up! They might put him in a mental institution to... LOL Jeffrey that thing is sinister!!! WOW!
Congrats!! The Enzo and the rest of your collection are amazing. Please give us a extended review once you "break her in". Congrats again!
Thanks guys! I'm pretty tied up for the next few weeks so it looks like the car will make its first public appearance at Cars & Coffee on the 27th followed by Supercar Sunday on the 28th. That's the current plan at least!
Looks very evil. I'm doing a similar look on my Honda Fit, doesn't quite look as good as the Enzo though. At least I won't have to worry about Carb mating with my car.
Beautiful. And thank you for bringing your cars out to the local shows. I am sure you enjoy doing it, but so many of these sit locked away it is a treat to see them in person. I saw your F50 at C&C when you first brought it and am looking forward to seeing this one too - so thank you!
That is stunning!!! And perhaps the best looking Enzo I have ever seen...and I have seen plenty in person. PDG
Have you seen these center caps before? I think they complimented the black coated wheels nicely and looked outstanding on a 599 I saw. As seen with delivery miles, on the showroom floor... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The tough part about doing anything with the center cap on the Enzo is that it's actually what holds the wheel on and I suspect like other cars with only a center lock-nut, it is tightened somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 ft-lbs. That shouldn't be news to too many people, but you'd have to be very careful with almost any finish you put on them, and I'd suspect the socket for them is a pretty tight fit not leaving much room for even masking tape to try and protect the finished surface. It could be a wasted effort the very first time you try putting them back on the car. Maybe if you anodized them and then power coated over that you'd have something that would last a while, but you'd have to make sure the socket allowed enough room for the thickness of the powercoating. The other option might be to have a special socket made with a delrin liner or something. >8^) ER
Tipo... Congrats on the car man. I have to say--I was thumbing through this thread and I'm not quite sure I can really appreciate a black Enzo with factory colored wheels anymore... The contrast just ruins the attitude of the car. Great choice on black wheels...but I don't have to tell you that. And it sounds like Dave really took some years off of some people's lives by taking so long on that detail... But you probably added them all back by having the wheels blacked out anyway. Enjoy her! P.S.-- I think we should all chip in and buy a heart resuscitator for Carbon in case of future emergencies like this one...
YESSSS!! Finally I will be able to see a blacked out Enzo in person! Congratulations on owning the most badass Enzo in SoCal. There should be some amazing cars at Cars and Coffee on the 27th and Supercar Sunday will be equally awesome the day after.
