Yep, that's why I wear a TUDOR Prince.
It is smaller then a Sub,, and I feel safer around machinery with a leather band.

I have both. For an everyday beater, I'd go with the Rolex. For an everyday dresser, I'd go with the IWC. The IWC is so striking because it has no bezel. So the dial is the same size as the case. Also, of all my watches, it is the most comfortable. The Rolexes, not so much. I'll post a picture for some perspective.

If your active and want a everyday work horse you cant beat the Rolex. With that said I think the IWC has a more refined look. Use a black face daytona for everyday , looking for a used IWC Portuguese chronograph rose gold.

I will say the all black sub is nice. Definitely differentiates itself from he other 20 blokes that you will see wearing a sub on an average day.

I picked up an IWC DaVinci Perpetual Digital Day Date Chrono. yesterday. Had been looking at Rolex Presidents and the Patek Annual Calendar Gondolo's also. I have a Rolex but got the Milguass just to be out of the mainstream. I love the IWC!

I'd go rolex only if you don't have one otherwise it is nice to diversify. (I have two rolexes now and really want panerai now but i will get one for my self maybe on my B-day!)

I'm a wanker, too! :) I've had a GMT-Master II for 10 years, and it has worked marvelously. Nice looking and reliable day to day timepiece, and it has come in handy for aviation. I would expect the same quality from a sub.

will you be getting a ceramic sub or an older model? to me, the sub is one of the nicest watches ever built. although i wouldnt mind a IWC platinum big pilot

the rolex will go up in value with time. the iwc will be worth 40% of purchase price in a few years and will likely stay at that level.
i really like the new 44mm black ceramic rolex deep sea.

Not everyone buys things with the thought of appreciation or depreciation, if we did we would never buy a new TV, computer or car.

What are you using it for?

I vote IWC for style, character, and size. 3717 is one of my favorite IWC's. The Rolex is a "classic" but everyone has one.

    IWC all the way.
