Had the F430 for a month now and am blown away by the thing. Driving it is a joy and having people come over in car parks just to look at it and ask questions is lovely - if a little embarrassing.
But you know what really gets me?
Just looking out the window and seeing the thing on the drive.
I've worked hard all my life to get to the position where I can afford something like this and that little kick in the guts I get each morning when I catch a glimpse of it out there makes all the effort worth it.
I own some property and obviously that's far more important than my car. My family and friends are much higher on my list of priorities, my health is all important, my work is everything.

But you know what, when all's said and done just seeing that baby sitting out there fires my endorphins like nothing else. It's shallow I know, and it probably makes me sound like an ar*ehole but I love this car, it means so much more than the sum of it's parts, it's a manifestation of years of toil, unnecessary no doubt, but still significant.

If business goes bad (so far it hasn't, thankfully), I'd sell it in an instant, but it would hurt much more than I'd let on.

The good news my friend is that the feeling never goes away, like you I have worked hard and saved for what seemed like forever to get my Fcar and just knowing it's out there in the garage makes me smile, you've earned it, so enjoy it.

yep, every time I open my garage and see the Strad resting there, its a great feeling, and time doesnt dull the sense of pride and joy :) And your right, family and property etc have to be everyones priorities in life, but it somehow doesnt feel like it when you stare at that baby does it!!!! ;)

Things like this are good to hear at 18 and about to start university in 2 weeks. I'm aiming for an F430 on my drive and it's great to see someone else's hard work pay off, hope you keep enjoying her. :D :D
