the problem is the judiciary is stacked with leftists, a result of decades of Labor appointments plus the paradox that whilst the legal profession is one of the most ruthless, money obsessed and self interested vocations, the majority of lawyers are social "progressives".

It will need a state govt bringing in mandatory sentencing (as happened in NSW long ago and which the Law Council constantly bleats about) to turn around the criminal-friendly system in VIC.

I'm not sure Matthew Guy has the courage for it. I met him when he was planning minister, talk about underwhelming.
