It comes down to the person you're dealing with, not the lending institution.

You've just got to get to the right person who takes responsibility to give a great experience.

Yep,plus perhaps the mindset of staff in a country town is different to a city where you're just a number.
Here you can't f**k up because it'll get around like a dose of the pox....NTIKAT.

I do agree with this, especially with so many years of experience working in call centres training staff and doing QC on their call performance.

Yesterday I did get a really great lady who actually took the time to get the issue escalated and explained to me fully what was going on. Then of course the person who then followed it up was just useless.

I don't think any of us can (or will) argue with that.

Nope - once I got to the manager, he basically admitted he couldn't fix what was an internal stuff up. He was a nice guy who tried to help and my parting suggestion was that he think about working for (my) bank - he replied, "I am"...

I rang St George to trim the home loan rate a bit, and they offered me a token reduction. Their "relationship manager" (where do these terms come from?), then rang me, I think coincidentally, and asked if there was anything I needed. I said "Yeah. Cut the interest on the home loan." She came back a few days later with an offer worse than the first one. BOQ (who admittedly finance my commercial premises) made me a great offer, way under what I was paying. I rang St George back to see if they could match it (as I hate paperwork), and they couldn't come near it, so I refinanced with BOQ. Yesterday I got the call from the branch manager: "Why didn't you call me?"

Yes, I've used them, but had personal brokers for the last 20 yrs who ended up being bought out by the South African mob, which eventually were bought out by BOQ.

Normally, yes, but this one was categorised as "viral", so has some special restrictions known only to the Imperial Grand Cyclops. Fchat is about the only "social media" I use. My wife's facebook page is very useful for keeping up with family, though. One day I'll conform.

Regarding the skin thing, there are 10 layers to the skin, but really only two broad ones: wet and dry. The dry, outside one (epidermis) has no blood supply, and heals poorly. The wet, inside one (dermis) is where all the blood supply is and active healing takes place - this is where you want good skin opposition. If you just pull the top together, the wound will heal slowly, and have a very weak scar. Thus a surgeon will leave a skin closure slightly everted by the suture - it all flattens out when the sutures are removed. The exception being orthopaedic surgeons, who consider skin an impediment between them and the bone :)

Skin is amazing stuff; I once sliced the side off my thumb with a Stanley knife and watching it heal you could see how each layer of skin closed in from the bottom layer first until it finally got to the top layer. Don't remember how many layers I took off, but it was a few!

    the inspiring leadership of Victoriastan.

Lisa Neville (police minister) has a particularly vacant expression.

"Her work prior to being elected was in the community sector, including as Manager of the SpringDale Neighbourhood Centre in Drysdale"

Excellent qualifications and obvious aptitude to deal with terrorism and the rule of law
