Some people just have to poke the bear
Most people don't understand asbestos - it occurs in many forms. It's only the raw powder and shedding from lagging that forms the fine spicules that are dangerous. Brake pads, gaskets, clutch plates, etc, have minimal health risk, if any at all. Even old fashioned fibro is safe if you don't grind it.
Most people don't understand much about anything, they only ever hear one side of every argument and it's almost always the "progressive" side.
What about talcum powder that is used on children? ......Where does the insanity stop....Last time I took notice most suburbs I drive through still have old fibro houses and most old industrial buildings still have super 6 roofing......This place has gone mad.....Maybe they should concentrate on fixing all the crap that doesn't work like roads hospitals etc......And make people work for the dole....
LOL!! But I have to ask which circles you move in, to have heard/experienced this..... [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One of the best GG dinners I've ever been to was Phil going through the Urban dictionary, Cleveland Steamers, Alabama Hotpocket etc
Ahhh. Yes. GG Dinners. I remember my first time too. [emoji123][emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I understand completely, hence my comment on revenue raising. We had a ridiculous situation here in Coolum where some parents got hysterical about the 'delay in removing asbestos' from the primary school which resulted in the removal work being carried out while the kids were at school, instead of during holidays as planned... I wouldn't be quite so blase about clutch plates and gaskets if I were you - I think the materials the asbestos is combined with probably make it a 'friable' material (the worst situation...). Many people don't realise old fashioned lino flooring falls into this category and is far worse than smashing up a few sheets of Super 6.
+ 987,952,997 I remember that. Must be about 5 years ago. Laughed so hard I had sore stomach muscles the next day. Of course, you had other sore muscles the next day yourself. NTTAWWT
Yes, friends widened my circle I remember we were in that family restaurant roaring with laughter. Poor old country folk were stunned. 12 middle aged blokes crying over an angry pirate will stay with me forever
Don't forget the other GG highlight - Wes at Clay Pidgeon shooting! I laughed so much it hurt. PP: "Good shot Wes!" pause will Wes misses (again) PP: "Oh no it wasn't"
