Yes. Bloody terrible. It appears that a 20yo f-wit in a ute driving at extreme speed on a suburban road with a 60kmh limit has gone through an intersection - probably on a red light - and killed two innocent people. Unbelievable.
Not to mention the teenager caught on Friday doing 180kmh in a 60 zone just out of the city. Crush the car immediately and make the Kant pay the cost of doing so.
I have a real problem with crushing property. Ignoring the legalities of it, why not simply auction the car and put the proceeds towards those less fortunate?
That is practical, however typical stupid government logic is that the car of a “hoon” which is who they target, will have spent time and money on their car and the crushing of it will teach them a lesson. Just my opinion of course. I think in Queensland it is two warnings before they do that though.
Interesting discussion this morning on Outsiders re the latest Michael Moore fillum. Apparently this hard core lefty and hero of the luvvies has really upset everyone as he completely tears apart the renewable energy industry and exposes it for the total fraud that it is...
I just watched Planet of the Humans, Michael Moore and Jeff Gibbs expose of the global green scam. It's free on youtube for another 3 weeks. Make sure you watch it. Jeff Gibbs premise, that the planet is dying because of capitalism, is easily debunked. But what can't be argued with is the stinking hypocrisy of the green movement, from The Sierra Club to 350.org and every other "green" activist group. I can't see how Bill McKibben recovers from this, it's such a thorough takedown of him and people like him. Long overdue IMHO. I've long been cynical of "biomass" - the nice green label given to burning woodchips for electricity which Karen is so comfortable with, but the extent of its growth astounded me. Final minutes of the film are hard to watch, orangutans dying in Borneo while their habitat is logged. The film doesn't mention that palm oil for food is the culprit here, which is always the problem with Michael Moore, his appetite for sensational images overrules his integrity. But this film makes it impossible for anyone to claim that solar panels and windmills are in any way free or renewable energy and that's a good thing.
I come from Borneo and I can tell you the destruction of the palm oil industry is heart breaking. What pisses me off more is when this is argued as a green solution
