The left media seeks out opinions which support the authoritian agenda, but the facts are that Sweden's outcome was better than expected.

Sounds to me like the Swedish government is deferring blame, nothing to do with lefties

 

the only thing that's certain in this world is that politicians and public servants will always avoid accountability.

It's impossible to prove a negative, but my view is that the lockdown was good policy for the at-risk population but too damaging vs the economic cost for low risk people. I said this months ago (despite PP's "hindsight" comment) and I've yet to see evidence to the contrary.

What annoys me now is that we still have silly and inconsistent restrictions after reaching a point where zero new infections are occurring. I had to line up around the block to renew my historic rego this morning, yet I can walk into Bunnings on a Saturday when it's packed to the rafters. This is happening in order to justify the earlier panic-driven policy.

NOBODY knew at the beginning who was at risk. We know a lot more now and another round will be treated a lot different, I'm sure. Keeping the national borders closed is still a good idea I think. We need to bring back something like the old yellow 'innoculation' passports if a vaccine works out.

They should be opening the borders, it's winter and the QLD tourist industry needs the rest of Oz to get over this rubbish economy bought about by this virus
