I’m sorry, but the printer’s are NOT responsible for the copy they receive; this is totally down to the magazine production team; it is a disgrace. And while your coverage of Ray’s send off is very nice, John , where the hell is the Club’s acknowledgement of 50 odd years of service?????
Printers only print the file they receive; you forget I was editor of FCCQ mag for some years; and I’ve been a proofreader for Braille House for the past 7 years. Printers DO NOT PROOFREAD. There is production and printing, and never the twain shall meet. Did it look like it had been proofread to you? A casual glance over page 134 should have sent up a red flag.
Didn't you receive an email on the 8th February 2022 from the FCA president ? I did and it looked like a blanket email to the members to me
Its not unusual for longstanding members to NOT be mentioned in length in car club magazine as often those who edit or write the the current articles ....perhaps have little knowledge of the passed members history within a club...both my father & stepfather were 50 year plus members and lfe members of the RROCA and yet there passings recieved little write up within that long established club, its not correct but I believe its better to NOT make a fuss and move on .
Ray had several pages devoted to his funeral plus a write up AND an email detailing his long and valued service to the club was sent out. All I expect when I go is a "good riddance"
old saying best way to f.....up a common interest is to form a car club ....deal with it . The problem with the FCA IMO its too large in numbers , few large car clubs a worth being a member of IMO..Chuck in Ferrari and reads like a club a true owner would NOT wish to be involved with ..

Bali bomb maker to be released early after just 10 years - no justice there! I have a good mate who was seriously injured and others in his group killed. His injuries, both physically and mentally still haunt him. He was lucky. He and another mate (a well known AFL player at the time) chose to watch the last 2 minutes of Miss Congeniality before following the others to the Sari Club - as a result they were at the door when the bomb went off. As an aside we had some lovely correspondence from Sandra Bullock when we let her know she had saved his life. John
