Apparently not: It’s understood Schiller would fund the treatment herself ..and: 9News has confirmed that Schiller's treatment, transport to appointments and guard costs are being paid for out of the prisoner's pocket, however the prison system is already under staffing stress.
Appears the backlash has had some good effect in Sicktoria: https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/major-ivf-providers-will-refuse-fertility-treatment-to-convicted-murderer-alicia-schiller/news-story/daaa9a475beaed1b336a7058296a8e32
The end apparently: https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/murderer-alicia-schiller-abandons-ivf-bid/news-story/de1fb23b09609775eadf4088924bab73 .....and: "Schiller planned to pay for the IVF using a windfall from a property sale."
Dead set you just can't beat stupid,if it's flooded....turn the foik around and go a different route,'kn dickheads. All the resources needed to 'rescue' these blockheads through there own dumbness. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-12-07/outback-rescue-couple-crocodile-infested-waters/104698102
You can include me in that, drove the QV through a flooded road that was over 60 cm deep ( but no crocs)
You've NEVER driven over a flooded road? Anyone who has done a lot of outback driving has done it or they've lied
I have never driven through a road closed from flooding, only a complete dingbat would do that. I have, however, misjudged the Daintree crossing, about a year ago, having not done it for 20 years and had to get the 'Cruiser dragged out....didn't fluff the engine though even though the water was up to the dash...beauty of a snorkel. When I did the Birdville track in July this year it was wet and the water holes were up to the top of the bonnet in a couple....but that doesn't worry an oldskool diesel with a snorkel.
Yes ....in an appropriate vehicle. There is nil way I would attempt to do what you did in the car you did it in. With a high clearance 4wd vehicle you, quite obviously, have a great deal more purchase on the road surface. Apart from my Daintree experience,I always walk through any wet obstacle.
You obviously didn't see the police officer on TV a little while back who said something along the lines of 'the biggest problem is older men in 4WD vehicles who don't understand once water is up to the floor of the vehicle traction is decreased'
That cop is a clueless fool. So, perfect for a TV “expert”. Traction is decreased as soon as any water is present.
Exactly - but they've been banging that drum for so long and 4WD mob won't listen to anything that simple so I think he was trying a different tack. Refer Klink's post 17689: "With a high clearance 4wd vehicle you, quite obviously, have a great deal more purchase on the road surface."
And you do given they are heavier and quite obviously have 4 driven wheels, relative to your diff setup. So generally at any one time you will have at least 2 driven wheels in contact with the ground.....and always have your windows open when doing anything like that. Like the current IIFF TV campaign depicting a new fully electric vehicle entering water.
