Talk about mixed feelings! Congratulations on retiring, please find something to do so you're not on here all the time!
It's "all about the money" when you run out and realise that you are too old to start again. "L laugh loud at the guy he tells everyone he is worth this and that.Serious wealth is when you are up around 250 million." .................I am sure there is a point there somewhere! Oh, and IMHO Toorak SUCKS majorly. For various reasons I get to spend more time there than I would like. So much traffic it takes you 15 mins to get from one side to the other. Poor value for money by any measure. So many social climbing wankers. You can keep it with my blessing!
both !! I like the idea of a scooter, must hire one this w/e and see what the hoopla is about .... JA (vroomgt) likes his as well
Don't worry I've got enough to last me,plus I have the ability to make excellant investment choices. You can't it with ya,no point being the wealthest corspe in the park. Just think if you had the retail business in Toorak, you could deal with Pixie,LF ans all the wig wearing middle east one's.
mate i learn't years ago its all about been happy, plenty of people out their with money whom are unhappy or stuck in relationship they want out of ect. Kew is a classic full of husbands and wives whom hate each other, but stay togeither because of the $$. My grandfather died at 73,was one of Australia's wealthest men in the 40s/60s yet lived a simple life and gave much away, apart from a trust for my father his brother and us grandchildren.Point of interst is I never knew till about 5 years ago.reason I reckon he felt if his blood line new of it,non of us would have ever worked.I get my little lot when my father dies, hope lives for years, even though we don't speak. With my share, gunna live on the interest when I'm gone the capital will go to a charity.
Excellent. Lots of early retiring Boomers are going to be in for a nasty shock late in life IMO. I would hate to work in Toorak even more than I would hate to live there.
