    On April 26, 2006, I was granted the privileges of a Private Pilot by a most gracious and fair DPE. Woo Hoo! This has been a long first leg of what I'm sure will be a much longer journey. It's time to start racking up that PIC time, I guess. We think that training is expensive, now that I'm free to fly where/when/with whomever I want, I'm sure it's about to get even pricier.

    Congratulations to our recent soloists. My day was a beautiful, unseasonably warm day back in September (maybe it just FELT warm in that cockpit). It's a remarkable achievement and an unbelievable feeling. It truly is a milestone in training (listen to me - already trying to talk like a seasoned veteran). Keep up the good work. Ride out those obstacles (like delayed medicals). I'm glad to be a part of this great aviation world and look forward to learning more each time I fly. I'll see you in the skies!

    Super congratulations, on the PPL.
    As an ex "Combat Engineer", 40 + years ago, It warms my heart to hear of another GI,
    doing something as wonderful as this. All the Best, in your aviation future ! ! !

    Another few days... weeks...(?) and I'll hear from the FAA about my 3rd.
    Then mebbe I'll do the solo thing, without wreckin the plane, or closing the runway, and finally.... make it to that big test too.
