It's Official...!

They have a street here in Little Rock, Arkansas called Asher Avenue. Up until the late sixties, the street was a major east/west route across town dating back to the 1800s. As the sixties wore on, like many towns, the entire east end of Asher Avenue became a wasteland of decaying hotels and dropping property values as everybody fled the old area for greener pastures. Nothing much left but a few engine rebuild shops and industrial supply houses prowled at night by hookers, gangs, and drug dealers. The stigma associated with Asher Avenue was so bad that last year, the city passed a law officially changing the name of the western end of Asher Avenue to Colonel Glenn Road in a desperate attempt to stop the expansion of the urban decay and eliminate the stigma associated with having a business address on infamous Asher Avenue.

The moral of the story: You can paint black stripes on a white elephant in an attempt to make him appear to be a zebra; but he's still a white elephant.

I must say though that after catching up on three pages of reading this thread I do fel a bti dummre*

Though NNO is clever, it feels a bit blank to me. I understand your desire to change the handle though, and I feel that using CARBON (perhaps in all caps as well) will represent a bit more and will be easier for people to associate with you.
