My friend lent it to me while his garage floor is being stained. And man, I forgot how much FUN those cars are. I'd like to own one again someday.

Tonight I came home and got into my TR (I think it was feeling neglected) I drove it around town a little and my god, there is no comparison. Ferrari is so much better. Ya, it's harder to drive, my 2nd gear was non0existent cus its cold, it doesnt have the mass amount of torque, and I had NO idea if the heater would work when I turned it on....but I still love it!

I used to own a black/black '90 tr as well and I sold it but still think of it often. What a great looking car and so easy to drive.

I currently own a '05 "Copperhead Edition" Viper and i love it to death. Yes, i agree both cars are different dramatically!!!! If you can, buy a viper if one can afford it. Its like having the best of both worlds!!! Blonde and a "Redhead!!!!!"

I had a 2001 Viper GTS (midnight blue metallic) for awhile. It was about 98% a total blast - like driving tha Batmobile. My only complaint was that the car had a near-overheating problem. The temp gauge would go right to the almost-boiling-over point and stay there. Never quite did boil-over, but made me constantly nervous. Similarly the heat of the engine required running the A/C on max the whole time to keep the cockpit pleasant.

No matter how many current sports cars I drive, I always feel that 512TR is most fun. I really miss it as it is in the garage at the moment, damn!

I really love my viper. Much faster than my old 348, but its funny I miss that 348 when I am driving the viper.. Thats the reason I am selling it and buying a 360 soon.

It's the name of another member here on the board and since John is in Texas as well as "Michael Chatham", i would assume that Mike took the picture and Jon's just using it to illustrate his current mode of transportation...

My sister fas had a Viper for a few years that I've had the pleasure to drive on occasion. The Viper is beast compared to a Ferrari. Bad ass American muscle V-10 makes a statement in a different & impressive way. Its a matter of taste. At last Thanksgiving we shared: She has wicked raw power while I steal the show w/ finesse.

This is only my second post but I have a 2001 Viper and a 1999 355 Spider.

They really are night and day and truthfully I cant say i prefer one over the other. They both have different missions in life and accomplish them brilliantly.

I havent driven the viper the past couple weeks....but last night I decided to take the it out instead of the 355 and i forgot how much freakin fun that car is.

That is the exact car i've been searching for, 01' Sapphire GTS, preferably ACR. F-car is just out of my league right now. Having driven both you can't even compare the two, 100% opposite driving experiences. The heat issue can be solved by ditching the cats, prevents those 3rd degree burns from the side sills.

I'd definitely pass up a GTS for a 360CS of any color.

The good news is that you don't have to choose one over the other! I have a Viper and it's wicked fast! It has "snap neck" good looks and never let's me down in the performance department. I stop traffic everywhere I go.

The Ferraris are incredibly beautiful and sleek. Great engineering and great performance. I'm lucky enough to be around all of these great cars. I guess I just need one of each (or several)!!
