    I'm going to hang it up when it comes to driving sports cars on the street. From here on out, I'm driving luxo boats on the street and taking my sports cars to the track.

    Here in Houston, we obviously don't have many good driving roads. I'm fortunate, though, that most of the few roads we do have are right out my back door, and for over 15 years I have made many a Sunday morning run to blow out the mental cobwebs.

    Unfortunately, today was the end of the road. There are just too many people. Between the maniacal shiny pants bicyclists riding two abreast, drunk old farts put put putting on their Harleys, Bubba in his pickemup truck with monster tires, it is just no fun anymore.

    Even worse is that the sport bikers are running in packs and have become irresistible to the revenue enhancers. Yep, Deputy Jim-Bob and Judge Blowhard sure do appreciate them guys getting all those 93 in a 65 zone tickets, which can't be settled for defensive driving. Don't ask how I know this.

    So, like the man said: "If you see it coming... duck."

    ps I haven't a clue what forums this post is supposed to go in. There are so many, but there isn't one about driving. So you figure it out.

    I know what you mean, the one thing that keeps me from driving more is first cops, and then traffic. Once again I have to question the direction of ever higher HP cars being produced, totally counter to reality, aka no place to use it! Forget the track, that's just not enough, and too inconvenient.

    I know how you feel. I have the same problem here in South Florida. I think I will be buying a mountain house in NC so I can have a good place to drive for the summer.

    Dallas is the same way as Houston. I'm in the Whiterock area which is probably the best area in the county for cruising in town...the V12 is entertaining at lower speeds as well as high, and there are several unbroken straights where you can let it rip, at least up to the speed limit. But, I do remember the good old days of the 60's when I-635 didn't exist and anything beyond its current circumference and plenty of area within it was just open farmland...that was the time to have a Ferrari.

    here, its first and foremost the damn TRAFFIC. didn't used to be bad, is now. will SOMEONE tell me where the hell all these people are coming from???

    It's no better here in Connecticut, the traffic is one of the reasons why I'm moving south! I-95 is a freakin rollercoaster, with every nitwit doing 75-80 in 45mph construction zones (and there are plenty of construction zones...). And also, the casinos have buses running up and down I-95 all the time, picking up the degenerates to go gambling. It is only going to get worse...

    NC here I come!!!
