Is it true that by jacking up the rear of a 355 from the rear jacking point the front will be raised enough to put a jack stand under the front jacking point high enough for me to crawl under the front of the car and remove the front undertray?

I gotta find the bolt head that's welded to the chassis such that its thread comes out into the front footwell of a RHD 355.... this is one of a pair that secures the accelerator pedal's cable bellcrank to the inside of the car....i somehow stripped the xxxxxx thread whilst removing the bellcrank to lubricate and although its held on tight with one of the bolts i want to remove the stripped bolt and weld a new one on...i'm hoping that this bolt can be seen easily when the front undertray is off....just want to see the bolt with the jack stand in place...not do the removing of it nor welding on the new.

Rear as in the jacking point in front of the rear tire? Yes, that will raise the front enough to slide a small jack stand under the front jacking point.

DaveRocks has created an excellent pdf that tells you everything you could want to know about jacking or lifting the 355.

    It helped me immensely.

You can put a jack stand under the front jack point but I don't recommend it. See the photos in my document - I think it's better under the uni body frame area. I've highlighted that area very clearly in the document.

Yes. My entire document is based on not needing to remove any panels.
