Anyone know where the battery is located exactly on a Jag xk150? I cannot find any diagrams or specific locations on google doing a search. Thanks,

Behind the right front wheel (jack it up, take the wheel off)

There's a panel in the wheel well, remove it and you'll see the battery.

Jaguars are nearly as much fun as Ferraris to work on. Battery is #4 on the list but there is no #4 shown on the diagram.

    Typical! :(

Yes I kept looking for #4... tried the 140 and 120 diagrams too. Of course I remember a Nick Mason interview where he says, "the drawings are often wrong" so there's that possibility too.

I think the 120 used 2 6-volt batteries, maybe the 140 did as well. XK's are wonderful cars!

While you're in there, clean up the connections good and install a "Battery Tender". Route the plug so you can keep it charged when not in use without going through the hassle. It won't charge a dead battery but will keep it "topped up".

I run into tricky battery problems all the time. 348 & Diablo are a couple of others that are a pain to get to.

At least with the 150 you don't have trouble getting the jack under the car. ;)

Thats very true, good points. Thing is also there is a "cutoff" switch to the battery. So it was strange to find it low on juice.

Battery tender solution seems the best way to go here I suppose.
