    A friend is thinking about selling his XKR "silverstone" coupe the car has less then 200 miles on it. The thing is brand spankin new. He doesn't know what it is worth any idea? Any more info on the car? Anyone interested?

    silverstone was an option package they did at some point. i think it had special 20" (or something) wheels and a few other special "silvery" things on it. i found the big wheels to be a bit too much.

    i don't think those things have held their value very well. edmunds, kbb, etc. will give him some ballparks.

    Doody the owner claims only 50 coupes were ever made? I looked online and couldn't find any info. Is this true? Also, the kbb and other numbers don't take into account the 200 miles. any other info.

    Yes, there were only 50 or so made. They're gorgeous boulevard GTs but flawed by the mechanicals. Overall, XK's in general, XKRs and XK8s, have not held their value at all. The losses are Porsche 911-like and worse. The Silverstone's , however, might hold their value a little better, especially a low-mileage edition. But, your friend will take a bath.
