    Hi Everyone,

I came across this article today and noticed (what I believe to be) a glaring inaccuracy. They state that the engine went from transverse to longitudinal mounting during it's profuctiop run. Am I going crazy? This didn't happen right? I'm doubting my sanity at the moment and need the brotherhood's help.

Incorrect. It was the model transition from the 328 to the 348 that saw the change from transverse to longitudinal.

It was the mondial that was transitional.

reading through the comments at jalopnik, one struck me..."vin is not listed in ebay under vin, but rather as a comment"

hm. so I google the vin. seems the one they have listed is found in the serie speciale thread.

That to be a typo because this car is absolutely not an SS.

Looks like this started back in 2008 when Jonathan Tremlett (jtremlett here)posted a list of VINs he had been collecting as SS cars. Looks like 92 tb white on tan is correct, but he's showing it as #10 SS. This car absolutely isn't an SS unless everything SS specific was removed, including the VIN tag. Here is the thread: 348 SS Registery

Looks like someone tried to correct it too and Jonathan replied. Sorry I can't get the pic to get bigger, but "348 TB" said, "can the owner of 1992 348tbspeciale #10 respond please,i beleve some is wrong with the registery list, show me pic of the car and tags please."

Jonathan replied with, "From a different source I have #10 as 93629 and yellow with tan (rather than 93593 and white with tan). Maybe that ties in better? No proof as to which is correct at present."

Yes, my mistake back in 2008. 93629 was confirmed as Serie Speciale #10 a bit later in the thread by the owner. 93593 is clearly not a Serie Speciale.

Thanks Jonathan! Appreciate your input and diligence keeping the registry.
