Jalpa thread

I've been watching this with curiosity. Up to $66,500 reserve met. Nice car, nice price for both buyer and seller. Finally, the Jalpa is coming up.

 

Don't know if anyone noticed, but 2 of the "repair orders" had the "Paid" stamp dated over 1 year before when the repairs were supposedly done.......just sayin....maybe thats why so many bidders in the $60k range retracted their bids........

I think it was 4 that backed out. One initially, and then the rest almost at once. Odd for even ebay.

Joe posted some pics of a Countach that has the same end plate look, there is a Espada in Sweden that has something similar.

This treatment was popular in the late 80th, often seen on the more expensive models of Audi those days, and was often called Baboons Arse.

Once again for sale, this seems to be an unloved car since Simon sold it in 1993.

Simon: I can help with one of your unidentified jalpas.

A643WGP was my first jalpa and was sold to me in july 1991 by pullicino classics.
I put my own reg no 9 OCT on it. I sold the car back to them in april 1993 with the reg no A403VYH.

This is a 1984 left hand drive model imported from England to the Netherlands but still carrying it's English license: A 403 VYH.

It's DLA12031, I was able to recognize from that non original orange bottle on the left inside the engine bay.

 

You are right Raymond, I missed this car, certainly the first RHD.
It'll be interresting to know what happenned to this car, someone asked me for parts to rebuilt it, I expected that someone will do this as the body seems to be in good condition exept for the rear bumper.

No DLA12031 is the first one sold new in South Africa, after there's DLA12056 sold in UK.
