Has anyone anymore pictures of this meet, seems to be a lot of modified f40s,I really want to see more pictures of the f40 with the deep looking front bumper with the colour coded lip spoiler,is it a us spec front lip that has been matched body colour?

    Philip,

You are correct, that is the USA-spec front splitter (which, incidentally can be fitted to any Eu/ROW F40) with the appropriate hardware - in this case a set of clips & rivets. It has indeed been color-coded.

Ive seen its application (in pics) on a couple of cars based in Europe, and (again in pics) on a handful of cars in Japan - the red car you show, a yellow car, and of course on a couple of LMs. There is a dynamic club in Japan who call themselves "CLUB 40", a group of banzai drivers who insist of driving their F40s everywhere, in modified form. These guys love to apply anything that they think can make their F40s go faster, or handle better, and apparently the USA front splitter is perceived as a good thing to have on the front end!

I did a small report on them 6 years ago:

You'll notice a couple of cars with the USA front splitter in these images, but I'm sure there are more.

Here below are some shots of more recent Club 40 activity.

Thanks guys for the reply and joe for the pictures. Seem like a fun bunch of guys enjoying they're cars a lot :) the front bumper with the coded splitter makes the front look really low and mean,be great to see the car properly

I came across this picture of another f40 ftom the same group in japan with a bumper with what looks like 360 vents moulded in and a roof vent, not many guys have the guts( or are crazy/stupid enough) to do this to an f40,nice to see some variations on such an already crazy car

People in the japanese car culture tend to be a lot different than the rest of the world. They are not afraid to do whatever they want to their cars. Here is an example of a f50 over there.

Ya fair play to them, they still like to personalise they're car to make it they're own,the vent in the f40 bumper above looks factory it's done that well
