About 30 minutes to roll-off. Wx at start is showing to be partly cloudy, 74F, 20% chance rain, dew point 59, humidity 59%, NNW6. Wx for 3 pm is same but only 10% chance rain.

Should be an interesting start to say the least and a very interesting race should develop with the dry conditions.

Time to go watch the pre-race festivities. Flavio and Ron Dennis certainly are worlds apart in their perception of what the constructor's championship means!!

I must say I was hoping for a wet race. Either way it should be a hell of a start.

I still believe.... Go Ferrari Go!

Michael has had a smirk all weekend long... he has something up his sleeves. He should have been on pole and if his race pace is decent, the race result will be a good one.

I think the Japanese are in for an awsome race. Can't wait to see the Mclarens and Alonso move up the pack.

Good morning Aaron - Guess we'll know in due time what type of pit strategy McLaren has in mind for JPM and Kimi - we'll see who's heavy or light in short order. I think that Ralf is running very light - makes sense to get Toyota P1 in their home race. Look what Trulli did at the USGP.

In any rate - I rather like this scrambled starting grid thing.

It's back up for me but it's still weird acting.

Time for Sato to go away from F1 as he takes out Trulli this time. Can't help but think he's was the cause of Ruben's problem at the beginning of the race.

Yeah Sato is certainly showing his home fans why he won't be racing next year.

    I heard the same thing!

Exceptionally great racing a few minutes ago - couldn't take my eyes off the tv screen. It's almost like Alonso had a hyperspace vehicle after he passed Michael. Looks like the McLaren is having similar difficulties as in Silverstone with the front end when getting right in the back of a car.

Can't wait to see them all "equal" next season.

Right at the beginning all cameras were focused on Sato - even Bob Varsha apologized for fans missing the race and having to watch Sato.

This great competitive driving with Alonso and Kimi should certainly be a tremendous incentive for Michael for next year.

That made no sens at all!! I thaught the helicopter following Shumi, Alonso and Kimi was totally off, ruined it. Plus we missed a lot of pit stops!

Kimi just took 1.1 secs off Fisi in one lap - I'm thinking he can take the remainder of time off and find himself in 1st place - wow look what Alonso is doing to Webber - passes and is now in third - Webber's move was stupidly dangerous.
