To all Lambo enthusiasts, I'm taking the opportunity to inform you I've started to create the Jarama Registry : www.jaramaregistry.com
Front page is already on line, by the end of september, I will launch it.
The idea starts when I sourced many Vintage Lambo in Europe, providing new updates to Glen, Lou & David.
My Jarama story will be described with #10522, and I'm owning now #10528, both GTS model.
Jarama is the forgotten Lambo and the last front V12 launched & produced by factory, even if it ended before Espada due to lack of success.
So, will you be kind to help me providing as many as : informations, Jarama VIN & pictures, documents, and so on.
The more accurate I will be the better it is for the whole Lambo community.
162 Jarama over 327 produced are already in my list, I respect privacy owner and I specify the source of information and copyright of pictures source.
My wish is to contribute honestly, it will be a non commercial website, only a new reference about Jarama that deserves also to be in front row.
Thank you in advance to all of you.
    My email : [email protected]
    Regards,
    Olivier

I'm just asking myself what should be the clue to set up a new registry when we already have Glen's Registry.
I know that he's not up to date but if everybody creates his own registry the data will never be consolidated...

Well, fwiw, I think it's a great idea. Lou has the Islero Registry and it is superb, compliments Glen's efforts nicely.

Bottom line is that there is only so much Glen to go around.

I hope this new Jarama project gets off the ground. Certainly an underappreciated car -- hopefully this will help change that thinking.

    Cheers,

    Fred

I agree with Fred and I dont think Glen minds at all. The more individuals working to register the old cars the more of a cross-referencing database we will have. It doesnt all have to be on one registry.... people who are passionate about a particular car should go ahead and collate the info. We all benefit!

    Thanks Joe,
Glen's wonderful work is not complete regarding Jarama...reason why I do believe it was necessary to create a specific website for the "forgotten" Lambo and last V12 front engine.

Website is launched, so enjoy it, you will see it's different than just a Registry guys...

Are all S model cars equipped with power steering ? The seller of the recently listed gold and black car on eBay with the red carpets, claimed his early S car had manual steering. The car did not have the S emblem on the tail.

From what I have read, all the 1st gen Jarama cars had manual steering. They also claim, all the S cars have p.s.

    _____

Jarama asking prices, have gone up about 2.5 - 3 times, over the last two years.

Ralfabco : Jarama 400 GT were delivered without power assistance steering wheel, and just a few 400 GTS were delivered without that option.

Regarding the Jarama in Italy, do you have any picture ?

Regarding the two tone advertised in Switzerland, do you mean the one at Affolter's place : gold & black ?
If yes, these people were not very nice with a friend of mine who wants to buy a Jarama GTS since I've launched the Jaramaregistry.com
He contacted them by email & by phone, he never got any information about the car. So, I adviced him to look at Autodrome in France there is a very nice GTS with a complete & clear story available.

About the raising market price, I believe Lamborghini SpA success with the new models is developping the overall interest on the Vintage Lambo. As you may have notice this year :
Miura are stabilized in between 260.000 to 350.000 euro, with some exception hitting higher price, one have been sold for more than 1M US$
Countach raised by +20% to +40% for a QV
    350 GT & 400 GT raised by 25%
Islero hit a record at Bonhams 86.000 including fees at Monaco, while the others are in between 60 to 70.000 euro, so that's + 40%.
Espada, much more produced is fluctuating between 35 to 50.000 euro for nice car, again +15% average
Silhouette +35%, when you see one.
Urraco & Jalpa are still in the same average.
Last one : Jarama about +15% to +25% over the last trimester.

There are less people who can afford to spend so much money on Vintage Ferrari, so for the same "thrills" (even better) they can buy cheap Vintage Lambo.
It's obvious that demand will continue for Vintage Lambo, raising their price market. Good news for the ones who already owns one, for the others hurry up before it's too late.
This comment only engage my opinion as I was a previous Ferrari owner.
    Olivier

    Hi all Jarama spotters,

In the 1980's, I often went from Holland to Dusseldorf, to visit Ferrari importer Auto Becker,
and to spot exotic cars at the famous Königsallee.

In May 1985 I saw a Jarama there for the first time in my life.
The car was on Swiss plates BL 9561, and Raymond (who else?) found out that this car is #10594.
Verde Jarama, with tan interior. Note that the original frontbumpers is removed.
