Wheelbase: 2,378 mm (93.6") • One of only 177 produced from 1971–1973 • Legendary V-12 Lamborghini performance • Fully documented nut and bolt restoration Lamborghini first introduced the Jarama at the Geneva Auto Show in March 1970. In order to comply with American safety and emission regulations, it was deemed necessary to replace the Islero in Lamborghini’s line-up–the Jarama was just the car for the job. Giampaolo Dallara had left Sant’Agata, so the task fell to his former assistant and now chief engineer, Paolo Stanzini. He cleverly removed 10.7 inches from the Espada wheelbase, leaving most everything else intact. The result was a husky, yet angular, 2+2 with flared wheel arches and NACA hood ducts, like the Espada, with unique hooded headlights all its own. The Jarama shared the wide track of the Espada, giving the small Lamborghini a broad-shouldered look that was attributed to Bertone’s Marcello Gandini. Body construction was farmed out to Marazzi (who designed and built the Islero’s bodywork). Lamborghini claimed a top speed of 162 mph for the new supercar. Just 177 400GTs were produced from 1971 through to 1973, before the model was upgraded to the 400 GTS status. Another 150 GTSs would be built through 1978, making the Jarama one of the rarer Lamborghini models. This lovely white car with classic Bordeaux leather interior was first delivered to Switzerland in February 1971, wearing the same colour combination in which it was originally built. The current owner commissioned a total nut and bolt restoration to original specifications by Lamborghini specialist Colin Clarke, after acquiring the car in Zurich on 29 October 2007. The project consumed over four years, at a cost in excess of £100,000. All aspects of the extensive work are documented in 100 digital photos, which are available for inspection upon request. This rarely seen Lamborghini has been beautifully detailed and will certainly be an outstanding addition to any collection. Hi, Many thanks for the update. As this car originated from Iran, any idea who the car was originally delivered to? A great number of cars of this caliber were usually ordered by the Royal Court, so just wondering if this car has a royal pedigree/history. Warmest Thanks, Ramin
I remember that one when it was for sale by Lutziger in CH. It is true Colin Clarke finished the work, but what a loose of money for the "speculator" spending 20.000 in CH to buy it + 100.000 £ to finish its restoration and finally getting 78.400 minus the RM fees... he should have kept it, looking at what Jarama market is today... #10.268 is for sale in Germany for an attractive price, it was belonging to Dietmar Frensemeyer for many years, it was in good hands & well maintained. it still seems to be good looking... not original paint which was originally "Verde Antille", interior is now beige instead of Senape leather & clothe in middle of seats... so not original colors scheme ! Last time I saw it, was at Torino with LCF. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/lamborghini/jarama/1972/337116 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

green olive = "Verde Antille" as Jarama colorchart shows to be more accurate it was not sold in Brescia but to Mr Zanarotti in Verona - Italy, the 3rd February 1972 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
as you know all depends of artificial light angles and darkness of the room... but it could have been already resprayed by that period... looking at the original paintchart/samples, the darker green is closer to the "verde Malaga"
I have heard a rumor that a Jarama is supposed to be resting in a field in the Munich/Augsburg (Germany) area. The owner is supposed to be not really initiative in selling and is said to presently ask 80k€ for the car being rather a relic of bygone times than an usable car. The engine is said to be solid and the body very rusty. Anyone know something about that further than such rumor?
this is the car, not a rumor, but at 80.000 owner is not selling... he wants 100.000 Jarama GT #10.264 If you want to buy such Jarama project, I know a GTS, just PM me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you, Olivier, but not really . Assuming that the price tag ist not 15,000 . If so, I would consider (seriously) . Cheers, Bernhard

New pistons, new valve guides, hand fitted valves to guides, crank balance as close to "0" on each end, as could be done.. Pistons balanced to "0" between each of them. Distributor rebuilt by Tom Meadows, he is the man on this, I have no clue where to start on them. Carbs sent to Pierce Manifolds to be cleaned inside and out, and they replace all the throttle shaft bearings, and the leathers on each. Rebuilt the water pump, oil pump, had headers ceramic coated and cam covers powder coated in wrinkle finish, new distributor cap and wires. Cam tappets machined to like new. Everything that could be replaced new was replaced. Chadbourn Bolles Attached Images Image Unavailable, Please Login
