Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, and Joey. As we always talk about how good Jason Thorgalsen’s work truly is I believe it should start to be distributed online, shown at high-end car shows and available to people not only on Ferrarichat. The work needs to be seen and Jason deserves to make some more money! There is nothing in this for me and doing this out of the friendship for Jason as I have gotten to know him over the past few years.

I think it is nice that you guys have created threads in the New York Tri-State section where people could put money in a Paypal Money Jar based on donations for pictures of their cars or just too simply appreciate his effort and time for his stunning photography. I wanted to help Jason by listing stuff on my personal eBay account to see what his work can fetch. If successful more listing of the prints will be put up and then he can start his own eBay store. We are creating limited edition runs for special and beautiful photos which he has taken. Hopefully in 10 years these original prints will be valuable and we can think back on the day that you bid on them on the internet.

I have so far listed two items:

    “Enzo’s In Carmel”

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=180097700274&rd=1,1

    “Diablo In the Sun”

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=180097706700&rd=1,1

Jason has some great photography skills; I hope he goes to an art school to pursue this.

His shots have inspired me to re-read my old photography book (over this summer) and to re-learn proper technique.

I hope this "project" works out.

HA HA HA... Nice one Evan (sorry Joey, but that's funny :D)

BTW, nice thing you are doing for Jason here. He took what is till today my favorite picture of my car. I hope this endeavor is wildly successful and Jason's star continues to rise. All of that said (and completely meant), just a little reminder that, *especially* if you are going to be selling for profit, it might be a good thing to at least try to seek permission from the people who's cars are in the pics (not for something like the beautiful Enzos in Carmel shot, but for shots featuring one individual car in a specific setting).

Anyway, keep taking those great pics, Jason, and best of luck.

Nice idea Evan. But setting up fully independent eStore would be easier then dealing with eBay. Their fees will eat up all your profits. I'm sure someone on the board went through that already and would be able to provide more info.

I also think that auto parts may not be the best place to list them. I think it may be better to place them in:

    Home> Buy> Collectibles> Transportation> Automobilia> Prints

    OR

    under the "art" section

Thank you for your advice. I changed the item search option but since it was more than a day old or 12+ hours it would only allow me to change the selection to an Ebay motors category.

    Thanks!

    Great stuff, as usual.

Jason - may want to edit your ebay page to read "renowned', not 'renown'.

Sure hope you lowered the quality of the resolution of the pics shown in the adds, as anyone can copy/paste and edit them into an 8x12...

Those aren't bad, but i've seen better from him.

Take this photo for example. I think the subject matter is far more interesting...

    PS thanks Joe.
