They emailed back a few days after i emailed them. Wonder if they read this. Anyway, Test drive booked I am trying to stay objective, but not sure it's working? (Shiney red toy, Shiney red toy )
JCT Leeds are absolute rubblish. The worst car dealers I EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. If you think the sales side is rubbsih, just wait until you own a Ferrari - then see what happens. I (used to) get quotes from them for simple work which was always far more than ANY other main dealer - and was most often twice the price of independent specialists. On the rare occasions I had work done with them, they's ALWAYS change the price and try adding 000's after they'd done the work ! Avoid like the plague.
Just had first hand experience of that. 4 new tyres, new cambelts, new battery for alarm and the full service was close to £3500 !
Unfortunatly my dad picked the car up as i was in Germany. He phoned with the bill and i called them straight away, not budging at all and no discussion. Honestly i cant believe how bad that place is, not one more penny of mine will go to them, arrogant, un-helpful and rip of their customers. Which is why i have taken my business to GrayPaul in Nottingham, superb.
Chris, I was driving through Shelley today in the 355 and spotted a black Diablo 6.0 litre with the reg something then 'wow'. Do you know who it is? I caught him up in the 355 near the BP garage and then he took off up the hill and I could'nt catch him! Is it the same guy with that awful bloody Hummer? Seem to remember that has 'wow' as the reg too By the way do you fancy some go karting this Monday with these maniacs or are you in London?!!
Hey mate. I have no idea who that is, the only guy around that area with funny number plates i know of is the guy with a testarossa with 'girl5555' on the plate, and a bentley with something similar on it. The he is the 'prime time recruitment' guy. I'd love to come karting with you guys but i have meetings all day Monday and Tues so wouldnt be able to make it. Keep me posted on other events though. Off to Paris tmrw to have a look at this 430 and then up to yorks and back to pick the car up thurs. Have to meet up sometime and show me what that Lambo can do
Well, It was fun, it fitted on the drive and i got a decent feel for the motor. What's more to say really. The attention would take a lot of getting used to! I get a lot with the masser but it's a bit weired with the 360. The bloke (Peter's) nice enought. I can confirm they definatley read this forum. So if you can't be nice, make sure it's the truth. But, and it's a big but. We still have problems with after service. This is causing me concern
Yeh Ive seen the awful Humvee thing doing the rounds and a few Lambos and F40s in the area. Is it something to do with Italia Autosport down in (is it) Meltham? Seem to be a few very nice cars in the area!!
Just my experiences, I have purchased over the past 4 years 3 cars from Graypaul Ferrari in Birmingham. All deals went well and everything was good. For my servicing I use JCT in Leeds just because its only a 30 minute drive from where I live. Anytime I am in the showroom I chat with the Ferrari sales staff. Also the Ferrari 70th Party they organised was a great day and evening. I have had no issues what so ever and would not hesitate to recommend them for the Ferrari servicing. In fact my 458 Spyder is going in for a service on Tuesday this week.
used graypaul before, they are decent also got ignored in JCT Leeds though at the time I was young and couldn't actually afford anything but things still stick in your mind
You make an interesting point about their treatment of the young. I used to go to the somewhat grandly named Maranello Concessionaires 'London Service Centre' (acually a corrogated iron shed!) in Chiswick when I was 15 or 16. I was always welcomed and given the opportunity to look around. A few years later, after they moved to Egham, Ivan Bishop let me have the run of the place, inviting me in when they were preparing motor show cars and getting his guys to shift cars in the car park so that I could get some good snaps. I still have the brochures I was given, some 50 years later! Of course security was not a big issue in those times and there were fewer Ferrari enthusiasts but through their kindness the Maranello staff sowed the seeds that convinced me that one day I just had to own a Ferrari!
Must admit my experience of jct Ferrari Leeds was not positive either. Took my boys along to open discussions about considering a portofino order .. all details taken and after first chat no follow up calls to let me know when they were getting one in the showroom... to cut a long story short .. got looking elsewhere and just got my 458 delivered last week. Brought from Amari supercars in Preston.. they were very good ! Glad I went for 458 instead...!
Its not the young in JCT they treat like someone with a highly contagious spell of the Marburg fever virus, its everyone. I bought an F430 from them 3 years ago, no doubt the car was well presented but like any Ferrari you want to know its mechanically sound. I was promised the car had been thoroughly checked and it had everything done including the manifolds along with everything else by the arrogant salesman, etc. etc. a year later, first annual service in my custody, the exhaust manifolds hadn't been done and were failing, not an ounce of goodwill from JCT, net net service was £7,500......say no more...... A year or so on, I must have been crazy even enquiring but I gave them another go, this time luckily JCT wouldn't even respond to my sales request for a Speciale they had for sale, so I looked elsewhere, and have since purchased x3 more Ferrari's, x2 from Stratsone Manchester, (for me they have been 10/10 superb and cant do enough....highly recommend them), and another from Meridan Modena (again thoroughly decent guys to deal with and would not hesitate to recommend them). It is a shame because there are a few good lads at JCT, but unfortunately also some tools.... PS still awaiting my JCT invite to Goodwood festival and all the other events I was promised.....don't hold your breath.
I'm based in Harrogate and my factory is within two miles of JCT Brooklands where I purchased my last Ferrari from. Anyway I won't go into the boring detail but in the last twelve months my car has been looked after and serviced by GrayPaul Nottingham - what a difference, a real master class in how to operate a car dealership. Where will I purchase my next Ferrari from......................I'll leave you to decide. On a side note and based on my experience with JCT Leeds last year I bought my wife's Porsche 911 from The Porsche centre in Colchester and a again it was a very easy and painless experience, the car is now coming up to its first service so for ease (literally I can see JCT Porsche from my office window) I'll give the Porsche service centre Leeds a try, and I hope if you are reading this JCT you prove me wrong! In a nutshell as others have said they do have some willing people, but I'm afraid that these are overshadowed by a sales staff that in my opinion based on my most recent experience to be arrogant, and when someone then ignores your email without a response.... well, then you judge. Not the way I encourage my sales and customer service teams operate, but then I suspect you could feel this is acceptable when you have a limited supply global brand to hide behind. In response to the original question and I think you know the answer by now.. no it's not just you!!
