Audi dealers are THE WORST, and that contributes to an undesirable brand. I would not have bought my R8 if I had to deal with a dealer. Hell, I would not have bought the RS4 if Audi NA did not step in to smack the dealer around.

Great cars + Crappy dealers = Bad brand

I agree with you 99% of the way. Town motors and Jack daniels audi both BLOW LARGE CHUNKS OF ROTTEN BLUE CHEESE. Its unbelievable that they are still allowed to operate. BUT i have found a really good dealership experience in Riverside Audi. They take really good care of me.

I had a similar problem as you did with my RS4 when it was on order with Jack Daniels. I had AoA on speeddial:)

I wouldn't go that far, but they did ruin the first generation TT with AWD. To say nothing of the current fleet of Lambos.

I wanted one of those things so bad, until I drove one and realized it handled like a dump truck.

Dont forget Paul Miller Audi, their service sucked and took forever. AND they lost my brothers keys the day we went to pick the car up (drove about an hour). On top of that they wanted to make him pay HALF the labor charge for a new key. Needless to say he flipped a **** on the manger and got the key for free. NEVER going there again.

BMW and Mercedes used to be a lot better made and designed prior to 2000 era model change and current models. Prior to 2000 era model change, both car manufactures designed a car then put a price on it. Presently they start with a desired selling price then back into it. A lot of the design and manufacturing especially their electronics are now out sourced. Both my 1990 series MBs basically cost the same as the present models although the present models are well advanced from the models I purchased. Example my 300SL was $85,000 new with a removable hard top and little electronics. The current SL550 is basically the same price with the folding top and a dashboard full of electronic gizmos.

Considering their reliability rankings over the last ten years, I'd say they forgot how to build cars. It's brand image alone that keeps them afloat.
